Israeli–Palestinian conflict

Geneva News: On February 29th, Ambassador Chen Xu, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, presented China's position on the situation in Palestine and Israel at the 55th session of the Human Rights Council.

Ambassador Chen emphasized that China consistently supports the just cause of the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights, firmly opposes the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, and opposes the occupation of Palestinian territory. The "two-state solution" is the consensus of the international community and the practical way to achieve peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel. All countries should make unremitting efforts towards this goal.
